Later in the 1840's German Settlers migrated from the Pennsylvania area to Frankfort.
Today, Frankfort is thriving and has become known as the "Jewel of the South Suburbs".
This distinction was recently recognized with the Southland's Reader's Choice award for
"Best Community" in 2003. Experiencing rapid growth, attracting new residents,
